I believe everybody has their own favourite spot in their home. a place which somebody with his or her mate can call it ‘sanctuary’.
so this is a spot me and my husband call it ‘our sanctuary’ : book case corner in front room. the book case inspired from rumahbuku, a homy library cafe in Bandung. cheap enough to built. messy but accomodate stuffs we need and like. just like 'toserba'.
mine is on left side. his is on right side.
see? mine is neater than his. hihihih.
I put books, some frames, Ollie within his white cage (I’ll tell story about ollie next time), and mugs from kandura.
book line of local writers: dee, andrea hirata, nova riyanti yusuf, akmal nasery basral, vahd mulachela, so on, and so on..
Orhan Pamuk – Rot ist mein Name. Germany version. a gift from my bestfriend Chiu. she bought it in Frankfurt Book Fair, the biggest annual book fair in Europe. and become one of my favourite book though haven’t read it yet. I promise to learn germany seriously, Chiu. hehe. or if I can’t fulfill it, I’ll try to read ‘My Name is Red’, have found it in Kinokuniya. :)
please don’t get mad Chiu. but still, the book cover was the best of all. looove it! it’s like Batik. Turkish Batik maybe. :D
yes. these are truly the famous series of stephenie meyer. hihihih. maybe it’s such a shame to woman in my age to enjoy that vampire romance just like a hysteric teenage girl. no, i’m not that hysteric. But I’m just ordinary woman who likes romance stories with such a happy ending. oh yes, i am ordinary and common person.
is it a sin to go to ak.'sa.ra. bookstore in purpose to buy the complete saga? ok, maybe you’ll think I was too much by buying ‘behind the scene’ movie book. hahaha. It was simply because I just loved the pictures. not because I was a huge fan of those hunky vampires or someone who will scream for Robert Pattinson. hohoho, not at all.
classic flowery frame from dreamesh. still empty.
found them on Crafty Days, a craft bazaar. they caught my eyes with their lovely colors. :) w and d. our initials. not just being room decorators, we surely use them in saturday and sunday afternoon coffee time.
ollie, the wondering owl. my first handmade pillow doll.
my husband’s books and magz. most about design, illustration, and visual art. one of his fave artist: Salvador Dali, the famous surrealist painter. the books full of beautiful paintings, pictures, and works from various artist.
